Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and ResumeKaro (legal entity name to be added) (“ResumeKaro”, “we”) for using resumekaro.in, its apps and browser extension (the “Service”). By creating an account you accept them.

1. Who can use ResumeKaro

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. One account per person.

2. Your account

You sign in with one-time codes sent to your email. Keep access to them secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.

3. Your content

You own the resumes, profile details and other content you add, and the documents the Service creates for you. You give us permission to store and process that content only to provide the Service to you, including sending it to our AI and infrastructure providers as described in our privacy policy.

4. AI-generated content

The Service uses AI to suggest resume wording, letters, messages and ATS analysis. AI can make mistakes. Review everything before you send it and make sure it’s accurate — you are responsible for what you submit to employers. We don’t guarantee interviews, offers or any hiring outcome.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to:

• submit false or misleading information about your identity, qualifications or experience;
• upload content you don’t have the right to use, or anything unlawful or harmful;
• scrape, overload or attack the Service, or try to get around plan limits;
• break the terms of job portals — our extension acts only in your own browser, when you click.

6. Plans and payments

The Service is currently free, with the monthly limits shown on the free plan page. We may change these limits or introduce paid plans later; we will tell you before anything you use becomes paid, and you will never be charged without choosing a plan and paying for it yourself. Any refunds follow our cancellation & refund policy.

7. Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other users at risk; where reasonable we’ll tell you why first.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, its design, templates and software belong to us. You may use the templates for your own job applications.

9. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll notify you of material changes before they take effect.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
