Naukri profile tips: get found by recruiters
Recruiters on Naukri search candidates much like you search jobs: by skills, role, experience, location and notice period. A complete profile that uses the words they search for shows up in more of those searches.
Write a resume headline recruiters search for
Your headline appears next to your name in search results. Put your role, years of experience and two or three core skills in it — the words a recruiter would type.

Choose key skills carefully
List the skills from the job postings you want, in their exact wording — “Power BI”, not “BI tools”. Put the most important first and remove skills you no longer use or can’t be interviewed on.
Keep the basics current
Fill every field recruiters filter on: current location, preferred locations, total experience, notice period, current and expected CTC. A missing field can leave you out of a filtered search.
Update your profile when anything changes — a new skill, project or notice period. Profiles that are kept current are more useful to recruiters, and an outdated notice period wastes everyone’s time.
Upload a resume that software can read
Use a single-column PDF or Word file with standard headings (Experience, Education, Skills). Avoid tables, text boxes, images and skill bars — screening software can misread them.
Make sure the resume and profile agree on dates, titles and skills. Recruiters notice mismatches.
Write a short profile summary
Three or four lines: your experience, specialisation, best result and the role you want next. This is the first thing a recruiter reads after the headline.
